Apartment 6D is located in the American Thread Building, in TriBeCa and immediately south of SoHo. This is a prime location in one of the most sought after buildings in lower Manhattan.

The Building:
One of the first conversions of a large commercial building in TriBeCa to luxury loft apartments, the American Thread Building at 260 West Broadway is a very handsome structure with a curved frontage and an imposing staircase entrance with two-story high columns and an attractive cast-iron gate.
It was erected in 1893 as the Wool Exchange Building and converted to a condominium in 1980. The 11-story, beige-brick building, which is one block south of Canal Street, contains 51 apartments and has imposing city vistas from its upper floors.
It has arched windows on its first floor and the first two floors have broad limestone banding. It has a roof garden and a health club.
Over the years, its residents have included models Gisele Bundchen and Naomi Campbell and actress Isabella Rossellini.
There is good public transportation in the area, which has many boutiques and restaurants. |
